Patient care is the root of the chemical dependency field. Most clinicians understand this and do their absolute best to only refer to safe environments in the discharge recommendations. We believe that with 24hr video surveillance, implemented structure, a dedicated house manager and the practice of ethical guidelines set forth by the National Association of Recovery Residences, Riverhouse is the best choice for sober living in Louisiana.

Riverhouse understands the importance of a referral source and we try to nurture those relationships. If you have any additional questions please feel free to give us a call or fill out the online form.

We know you want the best for your patients. We also know that its sometimes difficult you convince your patient sober living is a good idea. In our 1 page patient handout we have done our best to provide all the necessary information to help guide them in choosing the best sober living house in Louisiana.

We have included the price, amenities, whats included, contact information, and some things that set us apart. Just print it out and hand it to the patient!

What is LARR?

Louisiana Association of Recovery Residences (LARR) is a non-profit organization that offers standards and ethical codes for Louisiana sober living homes to voluntarily follow. These standards are almost identical to the standards and ethical practices put forth by the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR).

Riverhouse has gone to great lengths to set in place policies and procedures to ensure it’s residents are treated with care and compassion by following the standards and ethical guidelines put forth by these organizations.

A LEVEL 2 Recovery Residence

There is a significant difference in client interaction/support and patient care between our home and a LEVEL 1 (Oxford Model). If you have any special requests or needs when sending Riverhouse a client please let us know.

Yes! Unlike most sober living houses (3/4 houses), Riverhouse documents the residents’ progress on a weekly basis. If the patient is willing to sign a release of information to your facility, we will be more than willing to share our progress notes with you.

Riverhouse works very closely with Solutions IOP program that communicates well with us when information about a resident is necessary. We understand that many times your patients best interest is to go to your IOP program and we have no desire to steer them differently. However we do request that you make it a point to have release forms in place so that we can openly communicate with your counselors about your IOP patient.

Money is not the Riverhouse’s focus or purpose. We understand that many people coming into recovery have lost everything. At the same time we need residents to pay in order to keep the house open. Although we cannot make any promises here, we can say that if we have a bed available something can be worked out.

Yes. Riverhouse is actually located less than a mile from the Lafayette Regional Airport (LFT).

Meet the House Manager

Sober coach with sober living
Louisiana Sober Coach - Nic Holubik

Riverhouse utilizes a senior member of that AA or NA community to oversee the house instead of a peer picked house manager. We believe we have picked a WINNER! He has been the manager since August of 2012 and has brought Riverhouse to what it is today by staying dedicated to the guys day-in and day-out for years.
