Riverhouse is a National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) compliant, Louisiana Association of Recovery Residences (LARR) Certified (Level 2), 12 Step Based Sober Living Environment.

In Louisiana there are a two types of sober living homes.

• Peer Run – The house governs itself, no management or oversight.
• Monitored – A person is in charge of the house

and then

• LARR Certified
• Uncertified

and then

• Privately Owned
• Organization Owned

and then

• Recovery Based (12 step or other)
• Faith Based

Peer run homes are:

usually rented but not always / oversight is absent on site but sometimes has a committee who can come in and clean house /

Managed homes are:
